Today's Craziness

I'm finding myself writing more and more "random" blog entries. I'm not sure if that's significant or not. I guess it's just the way my brain's been working recently.

  1. Simon & Garfunkel were pretty damn good. Mike and I ended up sitting next to my parents and my aunt, by what was (really) pure coincidence. The show itself was awesome, and the popcorn was probably toxic. Ran into Steve Chae, a friend from high school, after the show.

  2. Kazaa is making me mad.

  3. Got my application for HUC-JIR in the mail. I'm excited to be getting the process underway. I gotta buy a GRE book and sign up to take the test. I also gotta do some Hebrew studying. They sent me a sample of their competency exam, and I think I'll do pretty well, but I definitely want to guarantee it. My only other worry is that I need two professional and two academic references/recommendations. The professional recs will be easy, but I'm not sure about the academic ones. Dr. Smith is good for one of 'em, but I'm not sure about the other. Melville and I never got along, I never took a class with Marty, and Shankman is in Kansas or some shit. Who else did I take multiple classes with? Schang probably barely remembers me, and probably won't remember enough to write a rec. Hmm. More thought on this is necessary.

  4. My back hurts.

  5. Got a new photo album up of pics from the school where I teach. You can see the album by clicking here.
